Our garden professionals will create a specific plan for your vegetable garden with dates, planting procedures, irrigation recommendations, trellising techniques, harvest intervals, integrated pest management strategies, crop rotation & soil amendments .
Our vegetables garden consultations begin at $200 for your initial 2 hour consult. This includes your entry level plan to get started growing your own food helping you establish your existing garden & increase yields.
If additional time, site visits,or plant/irrigation/raised bed installations are required, work is billed at $100/ hr. Our vegetable growing professionals will contact you regarding our specific plan one you fill out the form below and complete your $200 deposit. WILLIAM G LEE, FARMER
William Lee is a 3rd generation farmer at Sang Lee Farms. He has extensive knowledge and experience growing vegetables, herbs, fruit, and trees. Will has been trained for the last ten years to use Certified Organic cultivation practices. Certified Organic agriculture specifically requires working with OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) approved products and soil additives, practicing IPM (integrated pest management) solutions, and balancing environmentally responsible, safe and healthy food production. Sang Lee Farms is Certified by NOFA NY. Will has professional landscape experience as well dating back to 2001. He can help you design a garden that will yield healthy food for you right at home! With recommendations on plant spacing, light conditions, soil composition, irrigation intervals and equipment Will can help you grow and harvest your own fresh food! Currently, he is managing an operations crew at Sang Lee Farms, a farmer's market in West Hampton Beach, and is in charge of the majority of tractor work on the 100 acre organic farm. We are excited to offer the opportunity to work with Will and build a garden this year to our customers. Having Sang Lee Farms growing experience at your house will bring expertise in soil science, irrigation, construction, trellising, harvest, the looks of edible landscaping and more directly to your home garden.
LUCY SENESAC, FARM EDUCATOR & MANAGER
Lucy Senesac has been working for Sang Lee Farms for the past 6 years in one way or another. Lucy became interested in farming when she worked on small scale organic farms in New Zealand for 6 months post graduating from Skidmore College with degrees in Psychology & Art. She has worked in the fields, on the tractors, in the farmstand & markets, managed the propogation houses, and more. Most recently, Lucy started our farm camp education program and built 4 raised beds that she grows veggies in with her campers. She also works with all the school gardens on the North Fork providing farmer expertise to teachers & volunteers to maintain and grow their gardens. Lucy brings her expertise in companion planting, raised bed design & organization, succession planting, small scale home gardening & more to help you create a garden that suits your needs.
