Did you know it can sometimes take children 17-25 times seeing or trying a food to actually like it? This is just one of the many interesting facts Lucy will explore in her talk. If you are looking to introduce more fruits and veggies into your child's (and your own!) diet in fun and exciting ways, this talk is for you.  Join Lucy Senesac, health coach & school garden consultant, for a lively discussion and informative Q and A.

ABOUT LUCY: Lucy Senesac studied psychology in college but decided to pursue farming after a 6 month stint in New Zealand working for 10 different farms. She has been working at Sang Lee Farms since 2010 wearing many hats. In 2013, she decided to take her knowledge of growing food and share it with a new generation of kids in a farm camp program. In 2014, she became a certified health coach through Institute for Integrative Nutrition.  In 2015, she began working through Slow Food East End as a 'master farmer' consultant to school gardens on the North Fork. Shortly after she helped write a farm to school grant that she is now the farm to school coordinator for, working with the cafeterias to prepare healthier veggie based meals.  She has also led countless tours of local schools and camp groups on the farm and educated them on how organic veggies are grown. Now, she hopes to educate parents of the children she has worked with to learn ways to approach healthy eating with their kids.
