Friday July 24 | 9AM - 11AM
In our Gather & Graze workshop, we invite your inspired children to join our youth educators Trish & Cara for a food-centered class amongst the farm fields, greenhouses, and orchard!
This is a perfect morning activity for curious children to experience the tastes, smells, sounds, and feel of our certified organic farm in a whole new way. They will explore the practice of growing food while having fun outdoors, interacting with nature, and getting crafty!
This workshop will start with a body and mind check-in that will set the tone for the day, bringing more joy and mindfulness into their experience on the farm and beyond! In this workshop, students will go on an adventure through our fields and greenhouses, learning about and experiencing the fruiting crops, bee hives, and tractors! Along the way, they’ll gather herbs, fruits, and vegetables that are abundant, in order to create their own farm fresh charcuterie board. While crazing their snack boards, students will make plant markers out of clay and the foods they have foraged. Preserving the fun and educational moments they had at the farm, all while getting to know the plants growing in their own backyard better!
*Must at least be entering Kindergarten in the fall and be OK without parents for the 2 hours!
