INTERMEDIATE HERB WORKSHOP: THE MAGIC OF MUGWORT

Intermediate intensive demo workshop

OVERVIEW OF SINGLE HERB INTERMEDIATE SERIES:

Take a step closer to communicating with plants in this intermediate single herb workshop series. This offering will allow those who have a basic intro level to connect deeper with specific herbs and medicine. We call this intermediate because you will observe demos of making tinctures, oils and more but will not actually make them yourself in class. We will have advance intensives later in the season!

Join Kayla for a grounding, heart opening and magical afternoon as you cultivate a deeper relationship with one herb at a time. During each workshop we will dive deep into the characteristics and history of the herb. We will utilize all of our senses and tune into how this herb interacts within our body; how we feel and what we are thinking. You will learn how to properly identify and harvest the herb (wild or cultivated) and utilize specific techniques to extract and preserve its medicine. You will walk away from this class with an understanding of the complexities of using this herb for healing and the confidence to create your own herbal medicine that you can safely use throughout your life.

TAKE HOME: Class includes freshly brewed tea with organic herbs. Take home the Herb/plant that you focus on to make your own medicine with. Take home anything you make during class - smudge bundle, etc. Tinctures/oils are optional add ons.

OPTIONAL ADD ON: You can add on $20 to take home a tincture, oil, or other product that you learn to make in the class.

HERB SPECIFICS OF THIS CLASS:

Allow yourself to enter the mystical dream world of Mugwort. This plant is a powerful bitter herb that works wonders on the digestive and reproductive organs. Mugwort’s long and strong roots can quickly fuse disturbed land/soil back together, just as it does to the stretched and torn ligaments of the body. Learn to identify and harvest Mugwort and how to create safe and effective teas and tinctures. We will sit in ceremony with this wild plant and create smudge bundles to take home and help ease our bodies into a relaxed dream state while we sleep. During class we will sip on fresh tea, learn to make a mugwort tincture, and make individual smudge bundles to take home. This class is intended for those who have taken an introductory class and wish to take their knowledge and relationship with herbs to the next level.
